Fad TV launched their On Creativity series with this interview with Oregon animator Bill Plympton.
When he talks about “college”, Bill means PSU, where he was an art major and studied with Mel Katz, among others.
Bill recently wrote about the impact of Oregon’s landscape on him as he was growing up on the Clackamas River.
There is something very unique about the nature and the climate of the Willamette Valley, where many days a blend of fog and mist will roll down the Cascades like a silent avalanche, and when it mixed among the ancient tall evergreens it felt like being lost in a fairytale world where anything was possible.
Very different from the landscape he lives in now, on the island Manhattan!
