If you always wanted to know more about The Goonies, hang out with other people who want to know more about The Goonies, and/or tell everyone around you everything you know about The Goonies, Oregon has a festival just for you. The city of Astoria celebrates an entire Goonie weekend from June 4 to June 7.

Doors to the brand new Oregon Film Museum, located in a building instantly recognizeable to all Goonie fans, will open on June 5, 2010, at 9:00 AM.

Friday June 4
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The Goon Docks open (anniversary event headquarters in a former storefront next to the Columbia River Maritime Museum; 1590 Marine Drive). Pick up or buy tickets and get event information. Discounted weekend passes available.
5 to 6:30 p.m.: VIP dinner with cast
7 p.m.: “Red carpet” showing of “The Goonies” and premiere of new documentary about the making of the movie, from $20, Liberty Theater, 1208 Commercial St.Saturday June 5
9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: The Goon Docks open
9 a.m.: Oregon Film Museum grand opening ceremony in the museum’s parking lot. Free.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Bus tours to film locations (two-hour tour, every half-hour), $25. Buses leave from the Goon Docks.
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Meet and greet with cast, $20
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Meet and greet with cast, $20
