Other Colvig claims to fame besides Goofy (pictured above): Colvig voiced the Practical Pig in the Oscar winning Disney cartoon The Three Little Pigs (1933). He voiced two of the dwarfs, Sleepy and Grumpy, in Snow White (1937).
He voiced Gabby, one of the leads in Gulliver’s Travels (1939), and supplied some of the Munchkin voices, most notable the Mayor of Munchkin City, in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
Dennis and I learned about Pinto Colvig from John Canemaker.

Pinto also voiced the lead character in Chuck Jones 1942 WWII toon for Warners, “CONRAD THE SAILOR”.
Pinto’s big “falling-off-a-cliff” reverb scream, famous in cartoon circles, and used many times by Disney in various toons, can also be heard in Mike Jittlov’s celebrated 1980 short film, ‘THE WIZARD OF SPEED AND TIME” when Jittlov slips on a banana peal at 5oo MPH and falls into the roof of Disney’s castle.
